Governance 2024-25
Elected at the AGM the current board brings to the Organisation a wide range of skills and experience in the Not for Profit sector. We are proud to have a life member on the board who has been involved for over 30 years as a Coordinator, volunteer and now Governance. The Governance brings to Communicare, Funding, Marketing, Governance, Technology and Health and Wellbeing experience.
Communicare CMA Ak is proud to have the support of the current Governance who all volunteer their time to support the Organisation. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 is an important event where members of an organisation come together to discuss key issues that they feel are important to them and meet with the Trustees of Communicare. information on our Trustees is in this issue.

Chairperson- Josephine Jardine, current Chair of Communicare, has a career rooted in media as a Creative Director/Producer and Account Executive. Her passion for the elderly community, inspired by her grandmother, drives her involvement. With a love for storytelling, she cherishes community and family, contributing to the board to ensure Communicare's sustainability.

Heather Du Plessis-Allan
Heather is the host of NewstalkZB's popular Drive show and a columnist for the Herald on Sunday. She's been working as a broadcast journalist for more than fifteen years, previously as the co-host of TV3's Story, the host of RadioLIVE's Your Sunday, and a political reporter across TVNZ’s news programmes. Heather has reported from as fair afield as Antartica and Gallipolli, and has covered the 2012 London Olympic Games and the Oscar Pistorius murder trial in Pretoria. Heather loves her grandmother and she's convinced that she's her grandmother's favourite, so she cares about raising awareness of the need for us all to do a better job including older Kiwis in our communities and making them feel loved.
